The American Women Quarters Program is a US Mint program that celebrates the accomplishments and contributions made by women of the United States. The women honored will be from ethnically, racially, and geographically diverse backgrounds. The U.S. Mint will issue up to five new reverse designs each year starting in 2022. The obverse of each American Women Quarters coin will feature a portrait of George Washington facing right, originally composed and sculpted by Laura Gardin Fraser who was one of the most prolific women sculptors of the early 20th century and the first woman to design a U.S. coin. You will receive the complete set of the five (5) Women Quarters that were released in 2023: #1 – Bessie Coleman – the first African American and first Native American woman pilot #2 – Edith Kanaka’ole – renowned practitioner of and authority on modern Hawaiian culture and language #3 – Eleanor Roosevelt – first lady, author, civil liberties advocate, and Chairperson of the United Nations Human Rights Commission #4 – Jovita Idar – Mexican-American journalist, activist, teacher, and suffragist #5 – Maria Tallchief – considered the first American prima ballerina
